Can Belgian citizens apply for an Egypt eVisa?
Belgian ordinary passport holders can apply for a tourist Egypt eVisa. Belgian official travel advice should be checked for the document route chosen. This online form uses a passport biodata page, so a Belgian identity-card journey or a resident's foreign passport should not be entered as an ordinary Belgian passport application.
Belgian passport details across French and Dutch bookings
The website language, booking language and passport nationality are separate choices. Use the traveller's passport identity without translating names to match a French- or Dutch-language voucher. Belgium's foreign-affairs advice provides the country-specific reference for practical travel conditions. If you intend to travel with an identity card under an alternative arrangement, confirm that procedure first; this form expects a passport. A Belgian residence card held by another national should not be used as proof of Belgian citizenship.
Brussels package, Hurghada arrival and two resorts
A fictional booking from Brussels includes three nights in Hurghada followed by four nights in El Gouna. Both stays are inside Egypt and do not create another entry. Use the first accommodation address when that is what the form requests, and retain the second confirmation in the itinerary file. If the travel seller changes the order of the hotels, review the first-stay information. The seller's office in Belgium is not the address of either Egyptian resort.
Separate Belgian school calendars and family bookings
When planning a family school-break trip, use the confirmed dates for the actual travellers rather than assuming one holiday calendar applies to every booking. Collect the child's current passport scan before the final voucher release. Leave enough time to review both language versions of an operator's itinerary if place names or dates differ.
Example: a compound Belgian surname
For a made-up traveller whose passport surname contains several words, enter the complete surname as instructed rather than the short version used by a reservation system. Keep accents and character conversion consistent with the application rules. A full biodata scan helps a reviewer compare the human-readable name and MRZ. Do not crop the page down to the photograph, and do not attach a child's page to an adult record just because the surnames look alike.

A check before applying with a Belgian passport
Switching the website language should not switch the identity spelling. Before review, compare the passport number, birth date and name together instead of checking only the spelling. Keep every traveller's approval separately labelled even when one inbox receives the entire family's documents.
Prepare your application and travel file
- Check the route first. Use the ordinary passport you will carry. The official Egyptian portal lists passport validity of at least six months from arrival. Resolve any nationality-specific conditions before payment.
- Prepare a readable biodata page. This form accepts JPG or PNG, up to 500 KB. Keep all edges and the machine-readable lines visible. Manually verify automatically read names, numbers and dates.
- Keep dates and addresses consistent. Have your actual Egyptian arrival date, intended departure, itinerary, accommodation address and contact email ready. The form advances between completed sections automatically; review the answers before submitting.
- Review the entry product and total. Single Entry is $59 and Multiple Entry is $149 through this service. The stated processing estimate is 7 days. An application receipt is not an approved visa.
- Check the issued permission. Save the approval, verify its identity and travel conditions, and print the eVisa. Carry the itinerary and accommodation or other supporting documents appropriate to the visit, as the official portal instructs.
Already applied? Check your application status. For changes to an existing request, use your reference when contacting Egypt eVisa Online; do not start a duplicate application merely to correct a question.
Questions from Belgian passport holders
Should I translate my Belgian passport name between French and Dutch?
No. Use the identity on the passport and follow the form's spelling rules. The language of a booking or webpage does not change the traveller's legal name.
Does changing hotels from Hurghada to El Gouna require another entry?
No international re-entry occurs merely because you change accommodation inside Egypt. Keep the actual first address and later bookings consistent with the itinerary.
Can a Belgian residence card be used as Belgian nationality?
No. Select the nationality of the passport used for Egypt. A residence card describes residence status and is not an ordinary Belgian passport biodata page.
