Can Indian citizens apply for an Egypt eVisa?

India appears on Egypt's published eVisa nationality list, but an Indian applicant should check any nationality-specific supporting instructions before payment. Use the current ordinary passport, including its exact surname structure. Do not assume that a tourist eVisa application automatically supplies a guarantor, tour arrangement or permission for non-tourist activity.

Indian eligibility and supporting arrangements

The Egyptian portal identifies India among the nationalities able to apply. That does not remove the need to read the conditions shown for the individual case. If the official route or Egyptian mission requests a supporting arrangement, guarantor or tour documentation, establish who provides it before paying. This website does not claim that such an arrangement is automatically included. The Indian embassy link is a consular reference for Indian travellers, not the Egyptian authority deciding the visa. Keep those roles separate when seeking advice.

Delhi to Cairo through a Gulf transit airport

For a fictional Delhi–Doha–Cairo holiday, enter the local arrival date in Cairo rather than the date leaving India or the transit airport. A hotel used for an overnight Gulf connection is not the first Egyptian accommodation. If the trip continues to Luxor and Aswan without leaving Egypt, it still has one international entry. If it later leaves for another country and returns to Cairo, check the appropriate entry product and the approval's conditions for that return.

Diwali leave, family travel and a correction window

For a Diwali-period family holiday, check passports and any supporting arrangements before the final tour payment. Shared leave dates can make a delayed document difficult to replace. Make sure the email receiving updates remains accessible after departure, and allow extra time beyond the seven-day estimate for a question about a name or a low-resolution upload.

Example: an Indian passport with no surname

If a fictional passport shows only a given name and no surname, do not invent a family name to satisfy a booking convention. This application's surname field can be left blank when the passport has none. Include the full given-name identity as requested, then review any airline naming instructions separately so that check-in also works. Upload the complete biodata page; do not add Aadhaar or PAN as a substitute. Review OCR values manually, particularly where initials or a blank field appear.

A check before applying with a Indian passport

A person living in India but using another nationality's passport should not select India simply because the payment is made from an Indian bank. Likewise, a family organiser should not copy one traveller's single-name structure into every record. Check each passport and its corresponding booking individually.

Prepare your application and travel file

  1. Check the route first. Use the ordinary passport you will carry. The official Egyptian portal lists passport validity of at least six months from arrival. Resolve any nationality-specific conditions before payment.
  2. Prepare a readable biodata page. This form accepts JPG or PNG, up to 500 KB. Keep all edges and the machine-readable lines visible. Manually verify automatically read names, numbers and dates.
  3. Keep dates and addresses consistent. Have your actual Egyptian arrival date, intended departure, itinerary, accommodation address and contact email ready. The form advances between completed sections automatically; review the answers before submitting.
  4. Review the entry product and total. Single Entry is $59 and Multiple Entry is $149 through this service. The stated processing estimate is 7 days. An application receipt is not an approved visa.
  5. Check the issued permission. Save the approval, verify its identity and travel conditions, and print the eVisa. Carry the itinerary and accommodation or other supporting documents appropriate to the visit, as the official portal instructs.

Questions from Indian passport holders

What should I do if my Indian passport has no surname?

Keep the passport identity accurate. This form permits a blank surname when the passport has none; do not invent one. Check the airline's separate booking instructions for single-name travellers before departure.

Is a guarantor letter automatically included in this Egypt eVisa service?

No such inclusion should be assumed. Read any nationality-specific instructions and clarify the provider of required supporting arrangements before payment. An eligibility listing alone does not establish that every condition is satisfied.

Should I upload Aadhaar or PAN instead of a passport?

No. Upload the current ordinary passport biodata page used for Egyptian entry. Domestic identity or tax documents do not replace that passport page in this application.
